Al Quarticciolo il murale di Jorit dedicated to Marielle Franco

Il volto di Marielle Franco, Brazilian politician, sociologist and attivist assassinated for her impregnated in the different diritti civili, campeggia besides her a building in Rome. I read, infatti, the protagonist of the murale realized by Jorit on the walls of a palazzina in via Ugento, at Quarticciolo, an opera immediately reducible to the Neapolitan street artist even thanks to all the strisce rosse that crosses the guance.

The mural is made in the scope of the project “L’arte non ha sbarre” dell’associazione LiberaMente, victorious from the side of the Regione Lazio Vitamina G, and part of the program of the BiennaleMArteLive, a wide-ranging project jointly signed by the incubator Social Mars ended in underlining the educational function of the penalty and the need to support the reintegration in the society of chi è privato della libertà.

Che cos’è il progetto “L’arte non ha sbarre”

The project “L’arte non ha sbarre” is starting in Gennaio 2022 and has seen the volunteers of the associations and artists Jorit, Moby Dick and Barbara Oizmud svolgere, in partnership with the artistic high school Enzo Rossi, laboratory with e per le detenute del Rebibbia jail in collaboration with the director of the female cast, Alessia Rampazzi, and the educator of the cast, Eugenia Fiorillo. From the gennaio 2022 quindi volontari, criminologists and artists have joined the laboratori d’arte insieme alle giovani donne del jailo di Rebibbia. At the end of the laboratory, two murals were made inside the Circondariale house of Rebibbia signed by Moby Dick and Barbara Oizmud, who collaborated with the prisoner. Starting from dagli spunti and dagli stimoli delle detenute, thanks to the support of the organizers, the artist Jorit has tried with inspiration to realize the murale all’externo, to symbolize as the idea and the thought possano wander free of any limitations and impediments.

“Il murale di Marielle Franco launches a message against violence and pro diritti civili”

Say pee. These murals represent the potential of any person, even if he is recluse, maintains and can reinvest in the society all’espiazione della propria pena, for the benefit of the community. Un’opportunità, questa che non possiamo e non dobbiamo perderare come Paese e come cittadini e ciò deve spingerci a credere nella funzione rieducativa della pena traverso la formazione e il lavoro.”

“In an ormai era, both delicate for our planet and the climate, and at a particular moment for the history of Brazil – added curatrice Oriana Rizzuto – it is fundamental and endearing to talk about the directness of the environment and human directness I will start from a figure symbol of courage and impegno, remembering the figure of Marielle, that if she is impegnata in prima linea in the safeguarding of the territory against the speculazioni and favor of all minorities, to ribadire how important the freedom and the need for rivendicare and Defendere i diritti umani dei più deboli, che sono universali”.
